Legislation
The Real Estate Agents Authority (REAA) is the independent government body that regulates the real estate industry in New Zealand. Its role is to promote professionalism, protect consumers, and ensure high standards across the industry.
The REAA provides guidance for buyers, sellers, and agents, and manages complaints relating to agent conduct. Established under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008, it helps ensure transparency, accountability, and trust in every property transaction.
The Code of Professional Conduct and Client Care Rules 2009 sets out the standards of competence, ethics, and behaviour that all licensed agents must follow.
At Cobb Property, we operate in full compliance with REAA regulations and are committed to delivering professional, transparent, and reliable service at all times.
